House of Dezign is a unique fashion design academy in Chatham, New Jersey with beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes for children ages 6 through 12, teens 13 through 17 and adults. Our fashion design courses are thoughtfully developed to nurture creativity and instill calm, focus, self-esteem, and a sense of accomplishment in each of our students.

We are also a full service tailor and offer in-house alterations on most days. Same day appointments are available.

How did it all start?

Roya Ranjbar, once she was a young child she created a wardrobe of paper fashions for her dolls. She continued her interest in fashion designing and pursued a 7-year fashion design program as a university student. She passionately became the founder of House Of Dezign, a fashion design school in New Jersey. As a young child, Roya instinctively created an entire wardrobe of paper fashions for her dolls. As a university student, she studied fashion design in an intensive 7-year fashion program. Her fashion experience includes working with Chanel and Anne Fontaine.

Following in Roya’s footsteps, Alaleh, Roya’s daughter, designs fashions for her fashion company, Schaad Active Wear.
